What do you think when you first hear the word bisexual? Do you think they are confused or that they just want attention? Well in that case you are wrong. I am bisexual myself and I know for a fact that I am not confused and am not looking for any attention. In reality it is the other way around for me. I know what I like and just want to live my life and be happy.
Most bisexuals go through a point in their life were sometimes they prefer one sex more than the other. Just because they prefer one more than the other does not make them confused at all. Some people think that if you give them a dose of “straight” that they will adapt. Wrong answer. Most bisexuals know at an early age that they don’t fit into what society calls “normal”. But society is completely wrong at what normal is.
According to dictionary.com the true definition of normal is: conforming to the standard or the common type; usual; not abnormal; regular; natural. Please tell me, because I’m dying to hear, what is the common type of person? Tall or short? Overweight, thin, or average? Black, brown, yellow, white, or red? You can’t tell me what the common type of person is because there is none. If there was a common type of person we would all look the same, have the same taste, same job, hell even same house. And that type of thing would be boring.
If you ever have the urge to say something to the LGBT community about being confused about their choices or that they aren’t normal, I want you to stop and think about what normal is, and question yourself are you “normal”?
